Huguet, Blanc Seleccio “Can Feixes” (Xarel-lo, Macabeo, Parellada), Penedes, Spain, 2015 –
This is essentially a bubble-free version of classic Spanish Cava, as bright and crisp as a plunge in the Meditteranean.

Garciarevalo “Casamaro” (Verdejo), Rueda, Spain, 2015 – Round and soft with lovely floral notes and lively acidity, this wine is born to please crowds.

Dominio de Punctum Rosado “Finca Fabian” (Tempranillo), Castilla y Leon, Spain, 2016 – Lovely #roseallday rose, with notes of tart cranberry and ripe strawberry. Good park wine.

Vino Guerra Mencia “Armas de Guerra”, Bierzo, Spain, 2015- Gorgeous fruit tempered by a light espressoesque bite and slatey mineral, not unlike Cabernet Franc.

Senoria de Barahonda “Carro” (Montastrell, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah), Yecla, Spain, 2014- Meaty, peppery, bloodthirsty wine from the blazing heat of Yecla, this is a fabulous companion to the smoked and char-grilled flavors of summer.

San Pedro Regalado “Embocadero” (Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot), Ribera del Duero, Spain, 2012 – Judicious oak imparts a velvety soft texture to this profound and age-worthy wine. Open this on steak night.
