New Vegan Culinary Masterminds

We’re proud to introduce Sweeties Southern & Vegan catering as our new resident chefs for Meatless Mondays!

Sweeties is a full-service catering company that honors rich food traditions and serve vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten-free dishes that are healthy, nourishing, and delicious. Sweeties is named after founder Stephanie Perry’s grandmother, who was conscious of the need for healthy food for her family and served unforgettable traditional Sunday dinners.

If you are avoiding meat, dairy, or high-fat foods for health or environmental reasons, Stephanie says “you don’t have to sacrifice your culture to eat healthy and flavorful foods. The food we serve looks good, tastes good, and is good for you.” Sweeties’ alternatives will surprise you with how close they are to foods you remember from childhood.

Sweeties is committed to health and justice in the community as well. They pay a living wage to all workers, hire members from their community, and support people and organizations actively engaged in anti-racist organizing. As the business grows, they will begin exploring collective economic models. Through their catering work, they hope to bring awareness to how oppression lives in the world and how to grow the movement for racial justice.

Sweeties works with non-profits, religious and community groups and corporate clients. They offer a full spread of traditional vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free foods…Everybody gets to eat!
