Wine Talk & Tasting with Pierre Nortje

“Ethical farming” and “artistic endeavor” are two of the first phrases to jump out when visiting Spier Wine’s homepage, and certainly, these objectives have guided this South African vineyard’s vitality for the past 300 years. Led by sustainable practices and expressive winemaking, pouring intentionality and talent into every bottle, this family farm’s record of over 1500 awards is no surprise.

Needless to say, we have more than a few reasons why we’re thrilled to welcome Pierre Nortje from Spier to have a chat with us at a mellow wine party in a few weeks. Join us Thursday, July 14th at 7pm at our picnic tables to enjoy pours from Spier’s Million Trees collection, refreshments, and Pierre’s firsthand wine expertise.

Tickets are $12, which you can purchase at the front registers day-of or in advance. Your ticket includes four half glasses of wine, snacks, and a close-up look at Spier Wine’s behind-the-scenes.

Email Zac with any questions (zac@durham.coop). RSVPs are not required, but if you wanna let us know your coming, visit our Facebook event. We hope to see you there.
